Weekly comments

What I've learned this week was how to manage my time better
What I would like to know is how to record good quality music
Something that frustrated me this week is have a lot of homework
Something that made me happy this week was having a softball party at my dad's house

Anatomy in games

What I've learned:
• To a biological scientist, this evolution mimics what we observe in nature; a process of hundreds of thousands of minuscule changes, which result in increasingly more complex and sophisticated organisms
• Studies have shown that a known face can be distinguished from a resolved photograph comprising only 50 pixels
• The human form is most clearly recognized by its generally upright position with a spherical head protruding superiorly and a central cylindrical trunk which bifurcates into two long cylinders inferiorly, which turn communicate with the ground
Opinions:
• You have to get the whole structure right or something could go wrong
• Creating characters that look more realistic is the best way to evoke genuine emotion and reaction from an audience
Question:
• How far will animators go with the realism in their animation?

Why cartoonists are flooding YouTube, Risks and all

Things I've learned:
• Fred Seibert has a hand in producing some of the most successful cartoons of the last 20 years, including Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Fairly OddParents and Adventure Time
• With over one billion unique users watching over six billion hours of video each month, Youtube's reach is stunning
• The free-for-all nature of YouTube allows them to have their hands in everything, from designing and writing to Storyboarding and animation
Opinions:
• YouTube can give people more freedom with what they want to do and how they want to do their animation
• More people go on YouTube than any cable network, so people would get a better fan base by posting on YouTube
Question:
• How do you get paid when you put things on YouTube?
